MY TEN FAVOURITE BOOKS ARE

10. J. V. Jones:

I read a book called THE BAKER BOYS a while ago. It was written and release by Warner Books in 1995. It has 516 pages.
It is a Fantasy Book and the first Book of a series of three. The Book begins in Harvell Castle when King Leskill is dying. It takes you on a wonderful journey.

9.Nevile Shute

A Town Like Alicewas written in 1981. It was issued by Random House.

The book tells the story of Jean Paget who survived WW II. She was one of the Women who the Japanese captured. The group was forced to walk with the Japanese across Malaysia because the Japanese didn’t know where to put them.
During this ’’death march’’ she becomes the leader of the Women. She goes from an innocent Lady into a Women who has to learn to protect her self and the Women in the Group.

8. Michael Dibdin

Dibdin’s Aurelio Zen, series was a wonderful series of books. My favourite is The Long Finish.

All of the mysteries take place in Piemonte, Italy, (in the middle of the vineyards). The plot follows the outline of the famous opera, (with the same name).

I think that Michael Dibdin is to crime literature is what Cary Grant was to the movies...perfection!

7. Emily Bronte

I first read Wuthering Heights when I was in High School. When I saw it had come out in a pocket book I bought it for my library.

Wuthering Height was written by Emily Bronte not her more famous Sister Charlotte Bronte. This was her only book at it was publish in 1847 under the name of Ellis Bell. I bought the paperback copy in 1996 that was issued by Dover Publications.

6. Arundhati Roy

He wrote The God Of Small Things

I wrote a review about the book and if you would like to read it the link is:

5. Anne Frank

I read the Diary of Anne Frank when it was first published in 1967. The book has 241 pages. It was written from part of the Diary that Anne Frank wrote, (her Father Otto Frank would not allow the sexual parts be in the book).

The diary was written by a Jewish teenager during World War II between 1942 and 1944, while she was in hiding with her family and other refuges.

4. Roddy Doyle

He wrote Paddy Clarks Ha Ha Ha

I have written a review on this book and if you would like to read it this is the link:

1. David Cooper

He wrote the Book called GOD IS A VERB

The book explains the Kabbalah is a simple, easy to understand format. The author has done a very good job of explaining teachings that are complex. He has made the ancient study clear to people who have come a long way from them.

This is the easiest to understand book that I have found on this subject. The book has made the creation story clear and understandable. The author has explained vague ideas very clearly and in a way that is totally compatible to what a lot of the new spiritual writers are saying.

Kabbalah was once only taught to Men who were over 40, married and very religious. You had to know Hebrew, numerology, the zodiac and know how to study the sky.

Younger Rabbi’s have decided to teach it in an easier way and to both Women and Men. Kirk Douglas, Madonna and Donna Karin are now taking lessons.

*I hope I have tempted you to read at least one of these Books.
